Hospital Admin Dashboard
Owned and led the end-to-end redesign and rebuild of the hospital admin dashboard, transforming it into a scalable, self-serve platform enabling independent hospital onboarding, staff management, and operational control.
Platform Scope
Overview
The Hospital Admin Dashboard serves as the operational control system for hospitals on the ZappQ platform, enabling administrators to onboard their organization, manage doctors and staff, and configure operational workflows independently. The initial version was an internal MVP with broken workflows, poor usability, and no scalable onboarding capability. Hospital onboarding required internal team intervention, creating operational bottlenecks and preventing platform scalability. I owned the complete redesign and rebuild of the dashboard, defining system workflows, onboarding architecture, and management infrastructure. The new dashboard enabled hospitals to independently onboard, configure their organization, manage staff and doctors, and operate without internal dependency. This established the operational foundation required to scale hospital onboarding and support platform expansion.
Problem
The initial dashboard created major operational and scalability limitations:
- Hospital onboarding required manual internal setup
- Broken and inconsistent onboarding and management workflows
- No structured system for managing doctors and staff accounts
- Poor usability and unclear operational structure
- Hospitals lacked independent operational control
- Internal team became a bottleneck for platform expansion
- System was not designed to support multi-hospital scaling
These limitations prevented scalable onboarding and constrained platform growth.
My Role
I owned the Hospital Admin Dashboard end-to-end across product definition, workflow design, execution, and delivery. Responsibilities included:
- Defined complete dashboard product requirements and workflows
- Designed scalable hospital onboarding and management architecture
- Authored PRD covering onboarding, management, and operational control
- Defined role structure and access management system
- Led complete dashboard UX and workflow redesign
- Worked directly with engineering to implement and validate workflows
- Tested full system flows to ensure operational correctness
- Acted as the single product owner for dashboard definition and execution
System Architecture
Designed the dashboard as the operational control layer enabling hospitals to manage their organization independently. Core system structure included:
- Hospital Onboarding System: Enabled hospitals to register, create profiles, and onboard independently through structured onboarding workflows.
- Doctor Management System: Allowed admins to add, edit, and manage doctor profiles required for booking and operational workflows.
- Staff and Access Management: Enabled creation and management of nurse, receptionist, and admin accounts with structured access control.
- Hospital Profile Management: Allowed hospitals to configure operational details, manage organization data, and maintain system accuracy.
- Operational Visibility Layer: Provided visibility into operational workflows and system data across hospital operations.
Key Product Initiatives I Led
- Dashboard Redesign and Productization: Rebuilt the dashboard from a fragile MVP into a scalable operational platform.
- Self-Serve Hospital Onboarding: Enabled hospitals to onboard independently without internal team intervention.
- Role and Access Management System: Established structured role creation and management across hospital staff.
- Operational Management Infrastructure: Enabled hospitals to manage doctors, staff, and operational configuration independently.
- Workflow and UX Redesign: Improved usability, clarity, and operational efficiency through structured workflows.
- Platform Scalability Foundation: Established core infrastructure enabling multi-hospital onboarding and platform expansion.
Execution Leadership
Led full execution lifecycle from product definition through delivery and validation. Execution included:
- Defined dashboard system architecture and operational workflows
- Authored PRD and structured implementation plan
- Worked directly with engineering to execute and refine system behavior
- Validated onboarding, management, and operational workflows through testing
- Ensured system readiness for real-world hospital onboarding and usage
- Delivered scalable dashboard infrastructure replacing internal MVP
Impact and Outcomes
Delivered foundational infrastructure enabling scalable hospital onboarding and operations. Key outcomes:
- Replaced fragile MVP with scalable operational platform
- Enabled independent hospital onboarding and management
- Eliminated internal dependency for hospital setup
- Established structured system for managing hospital operations
- Enabled scalable onboarding supporting platform growth
- Created core operational infrastructure for hospital platform expansion
